Colbonddrain successfully used for the road consolidation. The water in the clay soil drained . Wickdrain installed upto 18 meters depth by means of a rig attached to an excavator. Soil was very weak and soft with low SPT values. But at the top there was a hard section like rock. So, in some sections preliminary drilling had done. Soil tests performed by Highways directorate.
