Resin
Infusion
 Enka®-Fusion Enka-Fusion
is a very thin yet 3-D structure matting which is used as an
infusion mesh or transport medium for the resin, keeping glass
fibre layers separated and providing an open channel for foams and
resins to flow easily and quickly through molded parts. With the
new legislation on the output of styrene and other toxic gasses,
vacuum molding is very likely to be the technology of the future.
Enka-Fusion is specifically dimensioned for the use as infusion
mesh in vacuum molding . Benefits of Enka-Fusion
are: - Tailor made to suit customer needs
(thickness, polymer, colour & weight) - Proven
consistent performance for repeatable quality
manufacture - Products can be produced from
different polymers to match the adhesion characteristics of the
resins used
Enka-Fusion
is often used in vacuum infusion or VARTM, schematically shown in
the sketch below.

 Enka-Channel Enka-Channel
is a 100 mm wide, 4 mm thick, supply or feeder channel for VARTM,
consisting of a black three-dimensional polyester filament core
structure wrapped in a white polyester filter. The product is
flexible, easy to cut to size and functions as a supply channel in
VARTM.
Combinations Enka-Spacer,
Enka-Fusion and Enka-Channel are often used in combination with
each other in the production process of composite products. A good
example is the production process of rotor blades for wind
turbines. The products are used as both feeder & bleeder
material in the production of rotor blades
